Welcome to the Carriage Haus at Moonrise on Mill St. Inn! Please read our entire listing before booking as this house is NOT suitable for people with mobility issues!

Charming 1890's Carriage Haus situated 1/2 block off Broad St. in the heart of downtown! You'll love the unique charm of this house- exposed beams, & cozy nooks.

Features bedroom w/ queen-size bed, spacious living room (w/ foldout memory foam queen bed- ideal for 1 adult or 2 kids). Fully stocked kitchen, & bathroom.

Mid-Century and Bohemian design come together to create a peaceful space to enjoy some time away in the Sierra Foothills hiking, swimming in the Yuba or just wandering the streets of downtown Nevada City!

There is a queen bed on the top floor and a queen fold out couch with a memory foam topper in the living room.

The living room has a cozy natural gas fireplace. We have heaters throughout the house for those cool evenings and A/C for those hot summer nights.

House has 2 flights of stairs (see photos of stairs AND floor plans). Bathroom is on the 1st floor and bedroom is on the 3rd floor. Stairs are steep and are not suitable for people with mobility issues or small children that are crawling or learning to walk. We do not have children’s gates but feel free to bring your own as we’d love to host you!

Dogs are allowed w/ PRIOR agreement to dog rules (will be sent via email once you book). A non-refundable dog fee will be requested during booking. No cats, please!

There is NO parking with this house. It’s street parking only as parking in the driveway is reserved for the Main Residence (our 3 bedroom rental) on the property. Free parking on Spring St. @ Mill St. (our street)

The ceiling on the top floor (bedroom) is quite low (see photos). It’s not an issue if you are aware of it getting out of bed. Just something to keep in mind! :)

We charge $25/ night for any guests over 4 and a prior conversation needs to be had.

We use natural cleaning products- Public Goods

Please note the backyard is shared with another house on the property.

DISCLAIMER- Because wildfires are foreseeable risks in this area, no refunds or rescheduling will be provided for fire-related issues (including smoke (air quality), fire bans, or fear of travel) unless a mandatory government evacuation order prevents access. Guests are advised to purchase travel insurance if smoke from fires is a concern!
